WHAT DO I THINK OF REALITY? -- FEBRUARY 1999 What do I think of reality? Reality is nothing more than an act of construction based on statistical probability. As this probability is skewed, so is our perception of reality. However, our minds allow for minute corrections, just enough to allow us to believe that what we are seeing is the same thing that everyone else is seeing which, in most cases, is the opposite of the truth. You might see a dull, gray, cloudy sky while I see a beautiful day. You may mumble complaints about the rain while I am outside basking in it. A simple theory, really, I couldn't tell you why it hasn't been applied before. A solution which leads to no less than world peace and friendship in a future of utopian standards and immaculate society-- oh, I'm sorry, have I been babbling again? What were we talking about? |
